We hire for love of the craft
Restrepo Innovations is a luxury technology integrator serving NJ, NY, and CT. We design, install, and support Crestron, Lutron, and Ubiquiti systems in high-end residences and commercial spaces. What makes this team different is not the brands we carry, it is the people who genuinely love this work.
We look for people who care how a rack is dressed even when nobody will see it. Who get excited when a new firmware ships. Who read the manual, then read it again. Who want to be better this year than they were last year, and better next year than they are today. If that is you, keep reading.
This is not a job for people looking to punch a clock. This is a home for people who want to build a career around something they love.

What you bring: Organized, proactive, comfortable on the phone, quick on Google Workspace and spreadsheets.

1099 · Commission-Only Sales
Outside Sales Representative
Bring luxury projects to Restrepo. Work builders, architects, designers, and end-clients across NJ, NY, and CT. What you bring: Existing relationships in luxury residential, hospitality, or commercial construction. Self-directed, closer mentality, comfortable with a 1099 structure and no base. Understanding of AV, lighting, or smart home is a plus but not required if the relationships are real.

Full-Time · Marketing
Social Media Manager
Own our presence on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and X. Turn finished projects into content that gets us chosen. Coordinate with the field for photo and video capture, publish on cadence, and measure what actually moves the needle.
What you bring: Real portfolio of managed accounts with measurable growth, comfort with Reels and short-form video, sharp eye for luxury visual standards, writing that sounds like a person and not a template. Bonus for AV, design, or luxury real estate background.
We offer two tracks. A paid W-2 track for people ready to contribute to real work, and an unpaid academic training track for students earning school credit. Read both carefully. They are structured differently on purpose.
Track 1 · Paid W-2 Internship
Real work. Real pay. Real mentorship. This is the track for people who want to be inside the craft, not just watch it. Paid W-2 employment at or above New Jersey minimum wage, with hours worked, timecards submitted, and a real payroll check every two weeks like any other employee.
What the work looks like. You will assist senior technicians on live projects. You will pull cable, terminate ends, dress racks, stage equipment, and learn our documentation standards. In the office track, you will help with quoting, ordering, scheduling, and project tracking on Monday.com. Under supervision, doing real productive work that moves projects forward.
What you get. A paycheck. Direct mentorship from senior staff. Exposure to the platforms and products the top of the industry actually uses. A written performance review at the midpoint and at close. A reference letter if you finish strong. For people who prove themselves, an honest conversation about a permanent role.
Structure. 12 to 16 weeks, 20 to 40 hours per week depending on your availability and our project load. W-2 with all applicable tax withholding. No promise of a permanent position at the end, but if a role opens and you have earned it, you will be first in line.
Track 2 · Academic Training Internship (Unpaid, School Credit)
This track exists for one reason: to give currently enrolled students academic credit for structured, educational time inside a real integration firm. It is not a substitute for a job. It is not a path to a job. It is a training experience tied to a course of study.
Eligibility requirements. All of the following must be true:
- You are currently enrolled at an accredited high school, trade school, community college, or four-year college.
- Your school is offering academic credit for the internship, and provides a written program description and evaluation requirement.
- You submit a signed letter from your school confirming the internship is part of your course of study.
- You are the primary beneficiary of the arrangement. The training exists to advance your education, not to deliver work to our clients.
What you will do. Shadow senior technicians and observe installations. Sit in on project meetings. Complete a structured learning plan with checkpoints tied to your school evaluation. Discuss what you observed with a mentor at the end of each week. You will not perform billable work. You will not displace paid employees.
What you will not do. You will not be scheduled onto projects to fill a labor gap. You will not be given tasks a paid technician or admin would otherwise be paid to do. If the nature of the work drifts toward productive labor, we move you to Track 1 W-2 paid employment or the internship ends. That is a firm line.
Structure. Duration aligned to your academic term. Weekly hours capped and set by your school. Written learning objectives at start. Written evaluation at close, sent to your school. No obligation of employment during or after.
This track is structured to meet the FLSA "primary beneficiary" test and applicable New Jersey Department of Labor guidance for unpaid internships at for-profit employers. If you cannot secure academic credit and a school letter, apply for Track 1 W-2 employment instead.

Track 2 · School Credit
Academic Intern - AV Field
