For new installations, Crestron's own lighting platform is typically the cleaner specification: a single processor controls lighting, shading, climate, and AV without a separate Lutron SmartBridge or RadioRA processor adding points of failure.

What this means for your project

On a Short Hills retrofit where the client had an existing Lutron RadioRA 2 installation, we integrated it into the Crestron control layer using the Crestron-provided Lutron driver. The shading and lighting responded from the Crestron TSW-1070 as expected. For new construction in that market, we specify Crestron lighting from the start.
