Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, D.C. dates to 1791, making it one of the oldest continuously active Army installations in the United States. Today it serves as home to the National Defense University (NDU). the premier institution for joint, interagency, and multi-national education and research. as well as the Inter-American Defense Board and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. The installation’s blend of historic significance and active defense education creates distinct AV requirements across academic, ceremonial, and operational spaces.
