Who we are

Restrepo Innovations is a luxury technology integrator founded by Michael Restrepo and built around concierge-level service. The hospitality practice is one of our four primary divisions, alongside residential, commercial, and military/government work. The same Crestron-programming team, network team, and project leadership runs all four. Hospitality clients get the discipline of a commercial integrator and the polish of a residential one.

For hospitality ownership, asset managers, and F&B operators in NJ, NY, and CT who need an AV and lighting partner that designs the room before the walls close and supports it after the doors open, Restrepo Innovations is the Elite Pro Crestron dealer and HTA Luxury Certified firm with active hospitality projects in Manhattan and across the NJ, NY, and CT.

What we do, in one sentence. We design, install, program, and support AV, lighting, shading, networking, and control systems for hospitality properties where the room has to work the first time, every time, for the next ten years.

Property types we serve

Each property type has its own decisions, its own budget shape, its own failure modes. The capability is the same. The detail pages cover the specifics.

  • Boutique and independent hotels. Guest room control, lobby AV, F&B integration, conference and meeting space, property-wide networking, brand-standard alignment. Read the boutique hotels page.
  • Restaurants and fine dining groups. Dining room audio that respects conversation, lighting that flatters the food, private dining flexibility, POS and KDS integration, multi-location rollouts. Read the restaurants page.
  • Country clubs and golf clubs. Clubhouse audio, ballroom flexibility, terrace coverage, simulator rooms, locker rooms, sports audio across multiple zones. Read the country clubs page.
  • Banquet halls and event venues. Reconfigurable rooms, rigging, divisible ballrooms, hybrid corporate AV, wedding-grade lighting. Idiot-proof for the banquet captain, full-featured for the producer. Read the event venues page.
  • Spa, wellness, and quiet rooms. Concealed audio, circadian lighting, hush-zone acoustics, one-tap front-desk control. The discipline of disappearing. Read the spa and wellness page.
  • Corporate dining and executive cafes. All-hands AV, background music, kitchen display integration, lighting that handles breakfast service and a CEO town hall in the same room. Read the corporate dining page.
  • Food halls and multi-vendor venues. Distributed audio across stalls, central control, brand-standard ambient lighting, integration with operations and security. Time Out Market on West 14th in Manhattan is the named reference. Read the Time Out Market case study.

Services

AV and conferencing

Distributed audio with DSP processing across zones. Video distribution over IP (NVX) or HDBaseT depending on the property. Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Crestron Flex for meeting and event spaces. LED video walls for lobbies, bars, and feature walls. Streaming and cable source design for guest rooms and amenity spaces.

Lighting and shading

Lutron HomeWorks for residential-grade hospitality control. Crestron lighting for full integration with the rest of the platform. Ketra and Colorbeam for tunable-white circadian work in spas, wellness amenities, and high-end guest rooms. Lutron Sivoia and Crestron motorized shading for guest rooms, ballrooms, and terraces. We design, deploy, install, configure, and support these brands. We do not hold manufacturer certifications from Lutron or Ketra, and we do not need to.

Networking and infrastructure

As a Ubiquiti UISP and Pro Partner, we design and deploy guest and back-of-house networks with VLAN segmentation, captive portals, and remote monitoring. Hospitality networks are not residential networks. Density, roaming, PoE budgets, and PCI segmentation all matter. We coordinate with the property's IT director and the brand-standards team where one applies.

Control and monitoring

Crestron is the standard for a reason. One interface for AV, lighting, shading, climate, and source selection. Remote monitoring through Crestron XiO Cloud and Ubiquiti UniFi. Issues caught from our office before the property notices. Programming built to last ten years, not ten months.

Security and surveillance

IP camera systems sized for the property. Access control coordinated with the security consultant. Integration with the rest of the building stack so the front desk has visibility without leaving the platform they already use.

Power management

Centralized conditioning, surge protection, and UPS instead of a UPS in every rack. Sized for the load, monitored from the platform, ready when the generator settles. The first layer of a reliable system.

Service and support

24/7 direct line to a Restrepo on-call engineer. Not a call center, not a third-party triage layer. Annual service plans matched to the property. Documentation handed to the operations team in a form they will actually use.

Credentials

  • Crestron Elite Pro Dealer. The top dealer tier. Full programming and engineering authority.
  • HTA Luxury Certified. Home Technology Association vetting for luxury integrators.
  • OSHA Certified. Job site safety discipline required for commercial and hospitality work.
  • Ubiquiti UISP and Pro Partner. Network design and managed deployment.
  • 2018-2019 Crestron Global Home Technology Award. Awarded for a Maplewood NJ residential project. Carries forward into hospitality work because the programming discipline is the same.

Reference projects

Time Out Market Manhattan (West 14th Street, NYC). Food hall venue. Distributed audio across multiple vendor stalls, central control, brand-standard ambient lighting, operations integration. Active reference. Case study.

Chatham Asset Management. Commercial office buildout. 30-seat trading desk, NVX video distribution, three Crestron conference rooms, Hikvision surveillance, Araknis networking, on-site gym AV. Carries directly into hospitality work where the operational rhythm is similar. Case study.

Additional hospitality references available on request, including boutique hotels and restaurant groups in the NJ, NY, and CT.

How we engage

Three patterns cover most hospitality work.

  1. New construction or full renovation. We sit with the architect, the lighting designer, the operator, and the GC before the walls close. We document the technology scope, the power and pathway requirements, and the operations workflow. We coordinate with brand standards if one applies. Then we install, program, and commission.
  2. Operational upgrade. A property running on aging gear that no longer holds up. We audit what is in the rack, what is in the ceiling, what is on the network. We propose a phased upgrade that respects the operating calendar. We do not rip out what still works.
  3. Service and stabilization. A property installed by someone else that needs a real support partner. We take over documentation, fix what is broken, and put a real service plan in place. Some of our best long-term clients started this way.

Service area

Primary service area is NJ, NY, and CT. In NJ we cover Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Hudson counties, including the luxury markets of Alpine, Saddle River, Franklin Lakes, Short Hills, and Tenafly. In NY we cover Manhattan, Westchester, and Hamptons spillover. In CT we cover Fairfield and Litchfield counties, including Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Stamford, and Ridgefield.

For multi-property owners with assets outside NJ, NY, and CT, we coordinate through the Restrepo Group peer network rather than overpromise direct service.

What we do not claim

Honesty before polish. The list of certifications we do not hold matters as much as the list we do.

We do not hold industry-association certification from CEDIA. We do not hold manufacturer certifications from Lutron or Ketra. We do not hold facility security clearances (classified-area scope, cleared-prime defense IT environment, FIPS, evaluated-product environment under cleared prime, EMI-shielded scope under cleared prime, cleared-prime facility scope). On government work that touches classified scope, we work under cleared primes. On hospitality work, certifications are less important than execution. Mike's standard is the room works on opening night and works again ten years later.
