When you hire through the Restrepo Group, you’re not getting a name off a list. You’re getting a company that has already proven. on our most demanding projects. that they deliver the same caliber of work our clients expect from us. We coordinate directly with every partner to ensure timelines align, communication flows, and the outcome meets the standard we’ve set across every discipline.

Why DMF Lighting Is Part of the Restrepo Group

Recessed downlighting is one of those categories where the wrong product decision announces itself every time a client walks into a room. color rendering that makes the artwork look wrong, trim alignment that draws the eye before the light does, or a fixture that can’t be adjusted when the furniture changes. DMF Lighting was built specifically to eliminate those problems, and their modular architecture is the most practical solution we’ve found for luxury residential work where finished rooms have to look right for decades.

The X Series 2” downlight. winner of the GOOD DESIGN Award. delivers precision accent and ambient lighting in a form factor that disappears into the ceiling. Its tool-less, field-changeable trims and modules mean that if a client wants to change the beam angle, color temperature, or trim finish after move-in, it takes minutes rather than a contractor visit. The Precision Lock Collar ensures a flawless ceiling-to-trim interface that other manufacturers still struggle to match consistently.

For commercial and larger residential applications, the M Series 4” delivers up to 3,500 lumens with the same modular logic and field-changeability. The H Series provides a budget-accessible entry point without compromising the modular platform, and the C Series 4” and 6” fixtures use DMF’s LightSpeed platform for rapid specification and installation. The newest addition. the X Series Cylinders. earned the 2025 i+s Product Innovation Award and extends the DMF platform into exposed pendant and surface mount applications.

DMF Lighting fixtures are Declare Listed, making them eligible for Living Building Challenge and LEED projects where material transparency documentation is required. For clients building to green building standards, DMF is the specification that closes the paperwork loop without compromising on performance.

How It Works When You Work Through Us

Lighting specification is one of the most consequential decisions in a residential build. and one of the least visible until the ceiling is closed and the paint is dry. We work with your lighting designer or directly with the architect and interior designer to specify DMF fixtures room by room, coordinating color temperature consistency across zones, beam angles appropriate to ceiling height and room function, and trim finishes that align with hardware and millwork selections.

We handle procurement, coordinate delivery to align with the electrical rough-in schedule, and manage installation with the electrical contractor. After the ceiling is finished, we return to install trims and commission every fixture through the lighting control system. DMF’s tool-less platform means adjustments after move-in. when furniture is in place and the art is hung. take minutes. We can tune the system to the finished room.

Part of the Restrepo Group: When you work with DMF Lighting through us, our team manages the complete specification, procurement, and installation. coordinating directly with your lighting designer, electrical contractor, and interior designer at every phase. We’ve built this network over years of collaboration specifically so our clients never have to wonder whether the trades they’ve been connected to will deliver at the same level we do. They will.
