The Systems We Work With
RadioRA 3 and HomeWorks QSX represent Lutron’s residential and estate-scale platforms respectively, and The Restrepo Group specifies each based on project scope. RadioRA 3 suits single-residence environments where wireless flexibility and elegant simplicity are the priority. HomeWorks QSX is the platform of choice for larger properties, multi-zone programming requirements, and any project where the lighting system must coordinate with motorized shading, HVAC control, and full Crestron integration.
Palladiom motorized shading is a component we specify on virtually every elevated project. The hardware itself is architecturally minimal. designed to disappear into the window opening. and the control logic allows for scene-based shading behavior that responds to time of day, solar position, and user-defined routines. A morning scene that raises shades sequentially across an east-facing bedroom suite, a midday setting that manages solar gain across a glass-curtain living room, an evening scene that closes all fabric shades and transitions the interior to designed lamp light. this is what whole-home light orchestration means in practice.
The Restrepo Method Applied to Light
The Design phase of The Restrepo Method involves lighting documentation that functions as a design instrument, not a wiring schematic. We map every scene, every zone, and every transition point before programming begins. That documentation is shared with the interior designer and reviewed against the finish selections, furniture plan, and natural light study for the space. Lutron systems programmed this way do not require adjustment after move-in.
The Restrepo Continuum Elevated and Concierge tiers include seasonal lighting reprogramming. a service our clients use to align their home’s light behavior with changing daylight hours, seasonal entertaining patterns, and new furniture or art acquisitions.
