Field Notes
Spray foam is permanent. Any wiring that gets encased without proper sleeving or labeling becomes a future problem with no good solution. This standard exists because we have seen the cost of pulling wire out of foam, and it is not a mistake worth making twice.
The coordination window between low-voltage rough-in complete and foam application is often as short as 24 hours. This standard defines the verification steps that have to happen in that window. With a clear checklist and a sign-off requirement, the window is manageable.
