For companies that want meeting rooms sized to how they actually meet, Restrepo Innovations is an Elite Pro Crestron Dealer and Ubiquiti UISP/Pro Partner that designs, installs, and supports commercial AV and networking across NJ, NY, and CT.

What did the client need?

A Manhattan company fitting out its 9th floor needed five spaces working on day one: two medium conference rooms, a huddle room, and two private offices, all fed from a small AV closet. They wanted video meetings that start with one touch, and a budget that matched the size of the rooms.

Why didn't we use Crestron?

We are an Elite Pro Crestron Dealer, and our first design was built on Crestron Flex. It worked on paper, but it carried external compute in each room, separate scheduling panels with their own cable runs, and displays sized larger than the seating needed. For rooms this size, that was more system than the client needed.

So we redesigned around Logitech Rally Bars running Zoom Rooms in appliance mode. Every room and every function stayed. The external compute, the extra panels, and their cable runs came out, and the total dropped. Picking the platform that fits the room is part of the job, even when the answer is not the brand on our dealer plaque.

How is it supported?

The install carries our one-year workmanship warranty. Beyond that, we offered two layers that work together: Logitech Select for the hardware, and Restrepo local support for monitoring, updates, and field labor. Because the rack power is remotely managed, many issues can be found before anyone walks into a meeting.

What does this mean for your floor?

A five-space floor in Manhattan, with cabling, a managed rack, and three video rooms, came in under $67,000 turnkey. If your rooms are small to medium, an appliance-based Zoom Rooms or Teams Rooms design often gives you everything you need for less. For the Crestron side of the decision, see Crestron Flex vs. Logitech Tap for hybrid meetings, and for a single-room Crestron Flex example, see our Basking Ridge case study.
