Single-Trade Accountability for the Full Technology Scope
We carry AV, home automation, structured networking, lighting control, and motorized shading as one scope. There is no second integrator for the network, no separate vendor for shading, and no gap between the control system and the lighting system that nobody owns. One sub, one contract, one warranty.
Detailed Bid Packages with Itemized Scope
Our bid documents include a room-by-room equipment list, conduit and wire schedule, labor breakdown by phase, and a scope boundary document that defines exactly what is and is not included. Allowances are labeled as allowances. Nothing is buried in a lump sum. Change orders require written authorization before work proceeds.
Schedule Integration -- We Attend OAC Meetings
We participate in owner-architect-contractor coordination meetings during the build. Rough-in, trim-out, and commissioning milestones are entered into your project schedule. If a date slips on our side, we notify the GC in writing at least five business days in advance. We do not show up and ask what week the drywalling is happening.
Weekly Progress Reports During Install Phase
During active installation phases, you receive a brief weekly status note: work completed, work planned for next week, open items requiring GC or owner input, and any schedule risks. These go to the GC superintendent and project manager. You do not need to call to find out where we are.
No-Surprise Punch List
Before your final walkthrough with the client, we walk every room with the GC and verify that every device powers on, every control works, and every cabinet is finished. We issue our own internal punch list before you see it. The goal is that your client walkthrough is a demonstration, not a discovery session.
Field Standards for Your Subs
Our installation standards library is available to your electrician and framing crew before rough-in begins. Back-box dimensions, conduit sizing, blocking requirements, and electrical circuit specifications are all documented. The trades who work for you have what they need before we arrive on site.

On a Saddle River custom build, we submitted a full bid package with a 47-line itemized scope six weeks before groundbreaking. The GC was able to use our scope boundary document directly in the owner's contract to define included technology. At final walkthrough, the owner confirmed the delivered system matched what was described at contract. Zero technology-related disputes at closing.
A Greenwich gut renovation had a compressed 14-month schedule. We entered the project schedule at pre-construction and held every rough-in and trim-out milestone without a reschedule on our end. The GC used our weekly reports as a communication tool with the owner. At the final punch walk, two minor device issues were identified and resolved before the owner's walkthrough -- none were discovered by the owner.
A Short Hills spec home had an undefined technology scope at the start of construction. We joined at framing, issued a scope recommendation to the builder within one week, and received approval before rough-in. The specification covered AV, Crestron automation, structured wiring, distributed audio, outdoor AV, and motorized shading -- all under one contract. The home sold within 60 days of completion and the technology was cited in the listing as a differentiated feature.
