Field Notes

EV charging infrastructure is a planning problem, not an installation problem. The panel capacity, the conduit run, and the smart charger network connection all need to be established before the slab is poured. Adding a second charger stall after the fact typically means cutting concrete.

The garage is also an automation space. Occupancy detection, exhaust fan control, door monitoring, and lighting scenes all tie into the same low-voltage infrastructure as the EV chargers. We address all of it in one standard so the trades are working from a single coordinated document.
