How does Crestron lighting control work?

Crestron lighting control uses a dedicated lighting control processor connected to load control modules installed at the electrical panel or in junction boxes throughout the home. The processor receives commands from keypads, touchpanels, the mobile app, or programmed logic, and adjusts each lighting circuit to the specified level. Scenes group multiple circuits together -- an 'Evening' scene in a living room might set the overhead fixtures to 30%, the accent lighting to 60%, and the floor lamp to off -- all activated with a single keypad press. Crestron lighting integrates natively with the broader Crestron automation system, so lighting scenes can be triggered by occupancy, time of day, AV activity, or voice command. Lutron lighting is also commonly integrated with Crestron control processors in luxury residential installations.
